Frequently Asked Questions:

Where can I send money to?

With Sigue, you can send money almost anywhere! We have an extensive global network of branches and agents in more than 130 countries.

How much money can I send?

Generally, there are no limits to the amount that you can send. However, it may be necessary for you to provide additional information including an ID and other necessary documentation that will help us ensure a safe and secure transfer and comply with Anti Money Laundering regulations.

Please note that additional restrictions may apply for Oklahoma and Arizona money transfers.

What information do I need to send a money transaction?

You will need to provide us with your name, address, and telephone number and the first and last name (as shown on their government-issued ID), address and phone number, if available, of your beneficiary.  If you choose to have your beneficiary pickup cash over the counter at the payout correspondent’s location, then, you will need to select a local payout location.

How long does a Sigue money transfer take?

Usually, the funds will be available for your beneficiary to pick in 30 minutes or less, with the actual time dependent on the payout correspondent’s processes and business hours. Please note that, if we are required to review a money transfer for security reasons, the processing time may take longer.

What does the beneficiary have to present when collecting the money transfer?

This varies from country to country. Generally, the payout correspondent will ask your beneficiary for the unique transaction code and for a Government-Issued identification so that it can positively identify him or her.

Where is the transaction code with which the beneficiary can pick up the Sigue money transfer?

The transaction code is printed on your receipt in the beneficiary information section. Each money transfer has a unique transfer code. For security purposes, do not show the receipt or provide the code to anyone you do not know or trust.

Will the beneficiary be charged a fee when picking up the money transfer?

No. The payout correspondent will not charge your beneficiary a fee. In most countries the beneficiary will not be charged a tax or other fees for the collection of the money transfer.
